App Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 October 2026

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

Migravi is developed and published by REPARIS d.o.o. za trgovinu i usluge, Glagoljaška ulica 1, 32100 Vinkovci, Croatia, OIB 89597065136. We are the controller for personal data we receive for support and app administration. Contact info@migravi.app for privacy questions and support@migravi.app for support. See our Imprint for company details.

This policy covers the Migravi iOS application. Website visits and email handling are also explained in our Website Privacy Policy. Apple and services you choose independently have their own privacy notices.

2. Your archive stays under your control

Migravi reads supported CSV files and ZIP exports you select or open with the app. Importing, matching conversations, recognising your own messages, finding duplicates and searching happen on your device. We do not upload chat archives, messages, participant names or phone numbers to Migravi or REPARIS servers.

The local archive can contain message text, dates, sender names and numbers, conversation titles, source-file names, avatars you select, favourites, trash items and fingerprints used to recognise duplicates or previously deleted messages. Your own-number choices, import recovery information, preferences and last known purchase status are also stored locally. These details are not sent to us automatically.

Migravi is a separate archive. It does not restore messages into the official Viber app. Original photos, videos and other chat media are not imported from Viber exports; media references or placeholders may appear. An avatar you deliberately choose is a separate locally stored image.

3. Files, photos and device authentication

The app processes files you make available through iOS Files or the share menu. Choosing a file from a cloud provider may cause that provider to download it to your device; that is not a Migravi server upload. Migravi does not request access to your entire address book, microphone, camera or location. Names and numbers come from the imported export or your input.

If you choose an avatar, the iOS photo picker provides the selected image. Migravi does not scan your photo library. Optional app locking uses Apple’s LocalAuthentication framework with Face ID, Touch ID or the device passcode. The app receives the authentication result, not your biometric templates or passcode. Locking controls access to the interface; it is not a separate archive-encryption feature.

4. Device backups and deletion

Migravi has no developer-operated cloud archive or cross-device chat-sync service. However, iOS may include app data in iCloud Backup or a computer backup depending on your settings. “Local storage” does not mean that data can never exist in a backup. Apple or the backup destination handles those copies; REPARIS cannot access or delete them. Manage backups in your device and backup-provider settings.

Temporary copies support import and recovery after interruption. The pending-import folder is marked as excluded from device backup and is cleared as files complete or are discarded. Imported conversations and settings remain until you delete them. Items moved to Trash remain until permanently deleted. Local import history contains counts, status, timing and a summary and is not automatically sent to us.

Settings → Erase All Data clears the local archive, trash, import history, pending imports and app preferences. StoreKit may restore purchase entitlement afterwards. Deleting local data does not erase original exports in Mail or Files, content already shared, existing device backups or Apple’s purchase records. Removing the app removes its local app container; offloading the app can preserve its data. We cannot recover an archive from our servers because we do not hold it.

5. Purchases through Apple

Full Access is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple through StoreKit. Apple handles payment, your Apple Account and its transaction records under its own terms and privacy policy. REPARIS does not receive your payment-card details or Apple Account password.

Migravi processes the product and transaction information Apple makes available to verify, restore and maintain access, including purchase or revocation status. The entitlement is cached locally. Apple may provide us with sales, proceeds and transaction reports through its developer services; these do not give us your chat archive. Providing paid access is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; necessary accounting and tax records are based on Article 6(1)(c) and are retained for the applicable statutory period.

6. Diagnostics, analytics and tracking

Migravi contains no advertising, third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK, tracking pixels or developer-operated telemetry service. It does not track you across apps or websites. Local import logs are separate from Apple’s diagnostic reports.

For App Store installations, Apple may make crash, performance and usage information available to developers when sharing is enabled in your Apple settings. TestFlight has its own diagnostic and feedback sharing conditions. Such reports may include technical information such as app and operating-system versions, device type and crash details. Migravi does not deliberately attach chat archives to them. Review Apple’s App Analytics privacy notice.

We use relevant diagnostic information to investigate faults and improve stability, based on our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; Apple manages the user’s sharing choice. Reports retained by Apple follow Apple’s retention rules. Any diagnostic material we copy into a support case follows the support retention below.

7. Support and content you choose to share

If you email us, we receive your email address, any name you provide, the message, email metadata and attachments you choose to send. Contact is voluntary; without sufficient information we may be unable to resolve the issue. Do not send passwords, verification codes, full archives or unnecessary sensitive information. Redact other people’s details from screenshots and diagnostic material.

Support is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual enquiries, Article 6(1)(f) for our legitimate interest in answering other enquiries and resolving problems, and Article 6(1)(c) where a legal obligation applies. Access is limited to authorised people who need it for support, administration or legal matters. We do not sell the information or use support messages for advertising.

Routine support messages and diagnostic copies are kept while the case is active and for up to 12 months after resolution unless a legal obligation or claim requires relevant records longer. TOTOHOST d.o.o., Croatia, provides our email hosting. Email delivery logs are retained for up to 30 days and email backups for up to six months from creation; deletion from active mailboxes does not immediately remove backup copies.

Copying a message places it on the system clipboard; using Share sends the selected content to the destination you choose. Opening a link, calling a number or sending an email starts an external service. Those services process data under their own rules. Copies you create or send are outside Migravi’s local deletion controls.

8. Recipients and international processing

Our support mailboxes and their hosting and backups are processed within the European Union; we do not transfer that support data outside the EU. Data may be disclosed to competent authorities or professional advisers where required by law or necessary for legal claims.

This statement does not cover Apple’s independent processing of purchases, backups, App Store or TestFlight diagnostics, or providers you choose for files, email or sharing. Those services may process data outside the EU under their own privacy notices and safeguards. See Apple’s Privacy Policy. We do not operate a server that receives your archive.

9. Your rights

For personal data we hold, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability where the GDPR conditions apply. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting previous lawful processing. Write to info@migravi.app. We may request proportionate identity verification and normally respond within one month; any permitted extension will be explained within that month.

We cannot access or remotely erase the archive on your device. Use the app’s local controls for that data and contact Apple or your provider about their records or backups. We do not need a copy of your archive to answer a privacy request.

You may complain to AZOP, Ulica Metela Ožegovića 16, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia, azop@azop.hr, or another competent supervisory authority.

10. Security and changes

Local data is protected by the iOS app sandbox and applicable device security. Use a device passcode, keep iOS up to date and manage backups carefully. Optional app locking adds an access control. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Migravi does not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects or build advertising profiles. Import classification is a local technical function. We will update this policy if app features or data practices change and revise the date above; material changes will be communicated as required.
